The Buccaneer Days Carnival will be staged outside the American Bank Center Arena at 1901 N. Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78401.
What time does Buc Days open? Close?
Saturday & Sunday: Gates open at 12 PM
Monday – Thursday: Gates open at 4 PM
Closing times are at the discretion of management.
Which items are prohibited?
The following items are prohibited on the Buc Days grounds and inside all Arena Events:
- Selfie sticks
- Drones
- Hover boards
- Pepper spray/mace
- Firearms (concealed or open carry)
- Knives
- Laser pointers
- Outside food and beverages, coolers, bottles or cans
- Any other item deemed unacceptable by management

Do you allow service animals?
Service animals are defined as dogs (or miniature horses when reasonable) that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for persons with disabilities. Such animals are welcome in areas where the public is normally allowed to go.
Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control through voice, signal or other effective controls.
Does a Single-Day Gate Entry ticket provide access to all Buc Days events?
No. The Single-Day Gate Entry ticket gets you into Stripes Carnival, Shops at Treasure Island, Buckin’ Marlin Stage, Beer & Wine Garden, BBQ on the Bay and other non-Arena attractions.
To make sure people get the most value from the events they want to see and attend, we provide separate tickets for Carnival and Arena events. Please check the Tickets page to ensure you have the right tickets for the event(s) you’re interested in.
I haven’t bought tickets ahead of time. How do I buy tickets day-of?
Go to the Box Office, where you can either purchase a $5 Single-Day Gate Entry ticket or an Arena Event ticket. Then proceed to the entry gate. Once inside, you can proceed directly to the Arena, or if you’d like to purchase an All-You-Can-Ride Wristband or Single Ride Ticket(s) for Carnival rides, please do so at the kiosk.
What rides will be at Buc Days? Are there rides for all ages?
Children under 36” tall do not need a gate entry ticket. They will be let through the gate for free as there are very few rides available to children of this size. If they want to ride a carnival ride that is available for their size (e.g. the ferris wheel), they will need to buy ride tickets inside the gate at the Carnival kiosk. Where is the Arena?

If I already have a ticket for Rodeo Corpus Christi, Professional Bull Riding VT Finals, All-You-Can-Ride presale wristband or BBQ pass—do I still need to purchase a Single-Day Gate Entry ticket?
No. Go directly to the entry gate.
Do I need a ticket for my child to see the Rodeo and/or PBR events?
Children 2 years and older will need a ticket for PBR and Rodeo events. A lap child who has had their 2nd birthday will need a ticket. Please don’t obstruct the view of others around you.

When and how can I start marking my Night Parade viewing spot?
Prior to Friday, May 3, 2024, you can mark your spot with CHALK ONLY. After 5 PM on Friday, May 3, 2024, you can mark your spot with stakes and string/rope, so long as it is removed immediately following the parade. Under no circumstances may parade spots be marked in any way that leaves lasting marks or damage to the viewing spot. NO paint, duct tape or tape of any kind!
Can I mark my spot in front of a private residence or business on a public sidewalk?
Yes, IF you have permission from the owner. And it must be after 5 PM on Friday, May 3, 2024.
Is it permissible to mark private property to save my parade viewing spot?
Never without the permission of the owner.
When may I camp out to secure my parade spot?
Any time after 5 PM, Friday, May 3, 2024.
Is it permissible to consume alcoholic beverages along the parade route?
Yes, so long as all existing laws and ordinances are met. Public intoxication and drinking under the legal age limit are not permissible and subject to arrest or citation.
How should I dispose my trash at the end of the parade?
It is the responsibility of each parade attendee to remove their trash at the end of the parade. Litter laws are in effect and may be enforced. Complimentary trash bags are distributed by the Buccaneer Commission prior to the start of the parade which may be filled and secured by tying the bag shut and left along the street for the City Clean Up Crew to gather post event.
Are portable bathrooms provided by the City of Corpus Christi or the Buccaneer Commission for public use?
No. Individuals may, at their own expense, bring a portable toilet to their parade viewing site after 5 pm on Friday preceding the parade for the exclusive use of their party but may NOT charge the public for use of that portable toilet without securing a parade vending permit from the city.
May I sell food, beverages or novelty products along the parade route?
Not without securing a parade vending permit from the Buccaneer Commission. Contact the office at 361-882-3242 for a parade vending permit.
SHOPS AT TREASURE ISLAND VENDORS
How much does it cost to have a booth?
Booth spaces are sold in 10×10 increments (100 sq.ft.) with the ability to combine spaces.
Corner Booths – $500
Interior Booths – $400
Does the booth fee cover the entire festival? Or is the booth fee per day?
The booth fee is the cost for the entire 11-day show. We do not offer daily rates for booth space.
Are all of the spaces indoor?
No, there is a limited number of spaces on Resaca Street available. All spaces inside Treasure Island is centrally located within the Exhibit Hall – down the hall from the Rodeo Arena and steps away from the outdoor Carnival and Buckin’ Marlin Stage presented by Whataburger and KFTX.
Have you been shopping before?
We added shopping to our programming in 2020 but had to be put on hold in both 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 safety concerns. 2022 was our first year to have an entire 76,500 sq.ft. exhibit hall dedicated to shopping but as the longest running festival in the Coastal Bend, Buccaneer Days is no stranger to the community. 2023 was a fantastic year for vendors and shoppers and we are just as excited for 2024!
