A true tech showdown
The Buc Days FIRST® Tech Challenge brings students together for an exciting, hands-on robotics competition that challenges them to design, build, and program robots to complete a series of missions. Through engineering, coding, problem-solving, and teamwork, students put their STEM skills to the test in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
The 2026–27 FIRST® Tech Challenge season is FIRST® CANOPY™, featuring the BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX challenge. This season encourages students to draw inspiration from the natural world, exploring how science, technology, and innovation can help create a thriving planet.
FIRST® Tech Challenge engages students in grades 7–12 through hands-on learning and real-world engineering challenges. Working alongside mentors and teammates, participants develop critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and technical skills as they design and compete with classroom-sized robots. Through this experience, students gain valuable STEM knowledge while building confidence and preparing for future opportunities—one robot at a time!
