About the event:
Students and youth groups from all around the Coastal Bend will use STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) to create innovative can art structures using unopened cans of food.
Participants bring the whole community together by collecting canned goods through school can drives, community outreach events, and more. The participants can use anything from canned tuna to green beans to canned pet food!
On competition day, each team of five will build their structures in the American Bank Center Grounds for festival goers to admire. At the completion of the festival, the cans will be collected and donated to the Coastal Bend Food Bank.
