On-line Registration Only: March 9th, 2020 at 10:00 AM – until all spots are filled.
The crowd favorite, Mutton Bustin’, is where aspiring young cowboys and cowgirls get six seconds of fame by busting out of the chute aboard a sheep. Participants are scored on their own performance and on the animal, just like the professionals. All kids receive a score, even if they don’t ride ’til the six second buzzer.
Rider Requirements:
- Children must be at least five years old on the day they ride
- Must weigh less than 55 pounds
- Must wear mandatory helmets and protective vests
All participants are required to use the protective gear provided by Rodeo Corpus Christi.

Spots in the Rodeo Arena are limited.

Our Kids Corral Interactive Zone will also offer Mutton Bustin’. Each day before the ProRodeo performance, on Resaca Street, Mutton Bustin’ Mania brought to you by H-E-B, will allow the cowboys and cowgirls an opportunity to ride the sheep if they haven’t registered in time to compete in the Arena.
