Buc Days VEX IQ Competition (Grades K – 5)
Time for the kiddos bring their STEM skills to life! The Buccaneer Commission is bringing VEX Robotics to Corpus Christi. The Buc Days VEX IQ Competition is an opportunity for elementary school students to use their STEM and robotics skills to solve challenges and win big. Prizes will be awarded directly to the winning teams.
About VEX IQ Competition (VIQC)
This competition engages students with snap-together robots, graphical programming, and collaborative challenges. Texas leads the nation with over 1,100 VIQC teams.
VEX IQ builds spatial reasoning, persistence, and confidence while improving math/science proficiency and school attendance. This competition creates a strong feeder pipeline into middle and high school robotics, allowing Buc Days to inspire its youngest participants with age-appropriate, high-energy competition, and pirate-themed recognition that sparks lifelong themed interest.
How to Join
Fill out the form to register your team for the 2026 VEX IQ Competition. There will be a mandatory fee of $50 for registration.
