The Buccaneer Commission is proud to present the 2026 Buc Days Livestock Quiz Bowl Contest, an exciting and fast-paced challenge that puts young agricultural minds to the test! This high-energy event awards $3,000 in total prize money to top teams and individuals.

The Buc Days Livestock Quiz Bowl brings together students from across Texas to compete in a lively, buzzer-style tournament that tests their understanding of animal science, livestock management, and agricultural industries.
Teams face off in head-to-head rounds, answering one-on-one, toss-up, and bonus questions that reward both quick thinking and deep agricultural knowledge.

This event inspires teamwork, leadership, and agricultural literacy — helping youth sharpen their skills while having fun in a competitive and educational setting.

$60 fee includes entry for all team participants. Junior Division- 8 years of age (in addition to being in the 3rd grade) and not over 14 years of age as of August 15th, 2025. Senior Division- 14 years of age (in addition to being in the 9th grade) and not over 18 years of age as of August 15th, 2025.

I, the undersigned parent/legal guardian of the minor named above, request permission for the minor to enter the restricted area for Buc Days Livestock Quiz Bowl, participate as a contestant in Buc Days Livestock Quiz Bowl, and compete for awards. I understand that participation in Buc Days Livestock Quiz Bowl involves inherent risks, which I voluntarily assume, and I acknowledge that all general rules and guidelines outlined in the Buc Days Competitions Handbook apply and are incorporated by reference. On behalf of myself and the minor, I release the Buccaneer Commission, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any liability for injury or damage arising from the event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. In an emergency, I authorize the Buccaneer Commission to obtain necessary medical treatment for the minor, with reasonable efforts made to contact me beforehand when possible. I also grant permission for the Buccaneer Commission to use photographs or video of the minor for promotional purposes, and I agree to the terms of this waiver voluntarily.
