Connecting Youth to Texas Agriculture!

The Buccaneer Commission was proud to present the first annual Buc Days Ag Product ID Contest in 2026, which featured an exciting and educational competition for Texas youth to showcase their agricultural knowledge and skills.

The Buc Days Ag Product ID Contest connects students to Texas agriculture through a fun, fast-paced identification challenge. Contestants will rotate through 30 product stations — identifying items ranging from garlic to ribeye steak — while answering a multiple-choice question in regards to each product’s origin, use, and importance to Texas industries.

This interactive experience teaches students about the diversity and economic impact of Texas agriculture while encouraging critical thinking and awareness of food, fiber, and farming systems.
