Connecting Youth to Texas Agriculture!

The Buccaneer Commission is proud to present the 2026 Buc Days Ag Product ID Contest, an exciting and educational competition for Texas youth to showcase their agricultural knowledge and skills.

The Buc Days Ag Product ID Contest connects students to Texas agriculture through a fun, fast-paced identification challenge. Contestants will rotate through 20 product stations — identifying items ranging from garlic to ribeye steak — while answering multiple-choice questions about each product’s origin, use, and importance to Texas industries.

This interactive experience teaches students about the diversity and economic impact of Texas agriculture while encouraging critical thinking and awareness of food, fiber, and farming systems.

$30 fee includes entry for all team participants. Junior Division- 8 years of age (in addition to being in the 3rd grade) and not over 14 years of age as of August 15th, 2025. Senior Division- 14 years of age (in addition to being in the 9th grade) and not over 18 years of age as of August 15th, 2025.

I, the undersigned parent/legal guardian of the minor named above, request permission for the minor to enter the restricted area for Buc Days Ag Product ID Contest, participate as a contestant in Buc Days Ag Product ID Contest, and compete for awards. I understand that participation in Buc Days Ag Product ID Contest involves inherent risks, which I voluntarily assume, and I acknowledge that all general rules and guidelines outlined in the Buc Days Competitions Handbook apply and are incorporated by reference. On behalf of myself and the minor, I release the Buccaneer Commission, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any liability for injury or damage arising from the event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. In an emergency, I authorize the Buccaneer Commission to obtain necessary medical treatment for the minor, with reasonable efforts made to contact me beforehand when possible. I also grant permission for the Buccaneer Commission to use photographs or video of the minor for promotional purposes, and I agree to the terms of this waiver voluntarily.
