Kicking off Buc Days at Sunrise!
The Buc Days Sunrise Stampede, presented by ArcelorMittal, is a new community celebration bringing together the Buc Days 5K, the Driscoll Children’s Parade, and a morning of free family fun.
In 2026, both the Buc Days 5K and the Driscoll Children’s Parade will move from their traditional Shoreline Boulevard routes to Portland — reflecting Buc Days’ commitment to serving the entire Coastal Bend.
Event Schedule
• 9:00 AM – Buc Days 5K (Start: Fifth & Elm | Turn around at Sunset Lake Park | Finish: Fifth & Elm)
• 10:00 AM – Driscoll Children’s Parade (Start: Gregory-Portland Middle School | Finish: Fifth & Elm)
• Awards to follow at Fifth & Elm
Fifth & Elm will serve as the central celebration site, open to everyone — not just participants. Guests can enjoy a complimentary cowboy breakfast, live music, games, face painting, cornhole, roping dummies, and more. Community partners will also be onsite with interactive activities and giveaways.
Whether you’re running, parading, or cheering from the sidelines, the Sunrise Stampede is a new way for the Coastal Bend to kick off Buc Days together.
