Each year, Cooking Teams from all over Texas make their way to the Corpus Christi to compete in the Buc Days Coors Light BBQ Challenge. These teams can compete in any of 5 categories: best beans, ribs, brisket, chicken or seafood.

And while they compete, we throw a party! Enjoy music ranging from Tejano to Texas Country to Rock and Roll while you enjoy food samples from participating People's Choice teams. The People's Choice competition allows Buc Days visitors to enjoy samples of BBQ and "vote" for their favorites with their dollars at each of the BBQ Team sites. All dollars go straight to the Buccaneer Scholarship fund and back into the community supporting area youth scholarships.
